Assisted living focuses on independence with support for daily activities, while nursing homes provide more intensive medical care for individuals with serious health conditions.

4. What types of services are included in assisted living?
Services include personalized care plans, meals, housekeeping, medication management, personal care support, social activities, and laundry.

Cost & Financial Questions

16. How much does assisted living cost?
Costs vary depending on location, apartment size, and level of care needed.

17. Does insurance or Medicare cover assisted living?
Medicare does not cover assisted living, but some long-term care insurance policies may help with costs.

18. Is Medicaid or any other state programs accepted?
Yes, we work with Bienvivir PACE program as well as Molina and El Paso Health Medicaid programs. With Molina and El Paso Health, member must have the Star Plus Waiver benefit to cover assisted living cost. (room and board cost still apply, please call us for more information)


Moving In

19. How do we get started with the move-in process?
The process usually includes a tour, care assessment, and coordination with the family to plan a smooth transition.

20. How long does it take to move in?
Move-in timelines vary but can often be completed within a few days after assessments and paperwork to include physician orders are completed.
